When Isla is mugged and left unconscious after leaving a party at a colleague’s house, her boyfriend, Zach moves in with her to help. When Zach and seemingly everybody around her including her neighbours starts acting suspicious, she approaches the presenters of her favourite podcast, Christie’s Crime Addicts to help her figure out who attacked her. This book combines two of my favourite things – crime thrillers and true crime podcasts, I love that there are actual episodes of the (fictional) podcast! There are so many suspicious goings on in this story, tense moments and smoke screens, it kept me guessing right until the end. The audiobook narration is fantastic!
